An Eland was deserted by his mother on the property and so Imbasa staff are raising him.  He is fit and fat and will soon be ready to be let back out in our lodge camp. He has been named Shabalala in honour of the Bafana Bafana striker who scored the first goal in the FIFA World Cup!

One of our trackers at Imbasa, Mr Anton Smit, has done such an excellent job at Imbasa for the past 3 years that we are now helping him to qualify as a Professional Hunter.

At Imbasa Safari we are constantly trying to upgrade our hunting facilites to make sure our clients have the best possible hunting experiences.

As part of this quest, we have recently built two new tree blinds for our bow hunters. The blinds are strategically placed to maximise the success rate for the hunter.  

Imbasa has a fantastic new pigeon hunt to offer our valued guests.  

It is a great day’s hunt to add to a plains game hunt at Imbasa.  Our last guests took 400 birds with 5 rifels – a fun and exhilarating day. 

This is a challenging hunt as the pigeon fly incredibly fast over the corn or sunflower fields where we will take you.  Our guests tell us that it’s better than bird hunting in Argentina – come and try it!

As Imbasa Safari we offer you the opportunity for fishing at Lillydale in one of South Africa’s National Parks, Mokala during the summer months and at Barkley West in the winter months.  Imbasa Safari will drive you the 40min trip to Lillydale or Barkley West.  Lillydale is situated along the Rietriver and also offers white water tubing (OK for kids too), canoeing, and fantastic views.  You will be hosted by a professional fly fishing guide who will provide boats, rod and tackle and any assistance you may require.

The fishing is based on a catch and release policy, so don’t forget to bring your camera!

A horse back safari is a wonderful way to get up close to view the wild animals. Kate Veneter will accompany you on this great experience, that allows you great photo opportunities. Please contact us for more information.
